Dry Heat Sterilization is an easy to install process with overall low operating costs. If medical device items can withstand the elevated temperatures, this process is good for items that may be damaged by the moisture of steam sterilization. Because it takes longer for the heat to completely penetrate the items, it requires a longer duration than other sterilization methods. Tempilinks are most commonly used in producing Type 1 process indicators. They may also be used as elements to help create Type 3 process indicators.
Note: Colors shown are representative only. Individual results will vary based on ink laydown, substrate printed, and other printing variables.
